On Saturday an event was held on the waterfront to honor the late Joseph Garland who died August 30. Joe was an author and historian passionate of Gloucester's history and future. He was instrumental in bringing the schooner Adventure back to Gloucester and since it's inception, the voice of the Annual Gloucester Schooner Festival.
