The Japanese defense forces couldn't stop Godzilla.....I captured the beast!
Spied this over Route 128 on my way home from work. Dirty windshield and strong sun glare I had to darken the image and crop out the sun. That's the only edit to what's probably my worse quality image. I figured some would get a kick out of it so I posted the pic on facebook. A few shares later it's gone world wide! Who would of thunk it?

Why I created this......

Born and raised in Gloucester, Ma fishing gets in your blood. Surrounded by the sea, kids here have a boat almost as much as kids elsewhere have bicycles! As I grew older my fishing ambitions gave way to what's around me. Although I still "drop a line" every so often, my attention wanders to the majesty of the natural light that make this place so special. Never is each day the same. The subjects may be the same but the light from the sea & sky will morph the subject into a form of art. For that reason artists have been drawn to these shores for several hundred years, they followed the light painting and sketching these surroundings. What artists capture with paint on canvas, I attempt to capture with a click.....if I'm lucky!

I guess that's a sort of Fish'n!

The Beauty Of Spooky Time!

I'm not much of a Halloween person but I have noticed the Halloween colors of late.

Boynton Island on the Great Marsh.
 Sunrise stroll.
 Rising tide.
 Orange sky.
 A bit closer.
 The spooky shot!
 A different morning.
  Sun rises over the horizon.

Fall With a Bang!

We were hit with a blast from Mother Nature mid week.  High winds and rain smashed into us with such force trees snapped like twigs all across Cape Ann. I was working at the hotel during the worst of it and the hotel itself survived without loss of power. We were full to capacity due to week long business meetings and the guests hardly noticed. During the height of the storm a parking lot sign weighted down with two cinder blocks was literally destroyed. I went out to gather the debris and it was almost impossible to stand out there. I would guess winds at that time were in access of 90 mph! The Front Desk phone was ringing from callers looking for rooms and/or asking if they could come in to charge their phones! My neighborhood lost power for a couple of days, we had power restored by a crew from New Brunswick, Canada! I was so busy I didn't get much of a chance to take pics but did get some before and after the storm. Power outage tip: Don't rely on scented candles, especially cinnamon scented candles. That's all we had in the house and they make you hungry! It smelled like we had cinnamon rolls or apple pie baking in the oven!

 Good Harbor Beach
My neighbor was lucky as this tree fell about 1' from her house!
This tree at Good Harbor Beach snapped under the strong winds!

First time this year I got stuck! This SUV one of three turned around and soon the bridge went down!

October Extremes!

The week varied widely so with this post I'll only post the images without captions and let them tell the story.

"Glosta Logic"

It's not "soda" and not "pop" or even "soda pop" it's "tonic"!
It's a "rotary" not a "roundabout"!
"Going up the line" is a term used when leaving the island!
A "jigga"is a homemade powerless go-cart!
It's not "Break Time or Coffee Break" it's "Mug-up"!
It's not a "water fountain" it's a "Bubbla"!
