Prolific is the key word here,Gloucester's Phil Bolger has close to 700 different boat designs to his credit! From the smallest dinghy (6.5') to the 115' foot eighteenth-century warship the frigate "Surprise". But most of his designs feature easy construction methods with readily available materials such as plywood. Yeasterday I stumbled on one of his designs heading through the harbor, the "Robin Jean". And with a little research I uncovered another one of his works in my database. A "Sharpie", last summer when I saw purple sails in the distance I had to get a closer look. Square bow and purple sails sure got my attention!
In this post I also added a Good Harbor Beach shot.
