Now the Fun Starts!

 It's been a long time without a boat and the drought is over. Having sold my 21' Sea Pro Walk Around in 2012 to help pay for medical bills for a family member without health coverage I've been wanting another one since. I never thought it would happen again as boat prices have sky rocketed since the covid pandemic. I've been looking but what was affordable was nothing but money pits in need of a full blown renovation. Then on facebook I see a 2000 Key West 20' Walk Around that was affordable in good shape and needing only cosmetic work. And because of the pandemic getting the trailer registered was in tortoise mode. The plate for the trailer finally arrived and I towed the boat home from Seabrook, NH. My 2020 Ford F-150 handled the tow with ease, the 2.7 twin turbo engine got 18 mph which was a big surprise. I do need to replace the batteries and today I discovered the VHF antenna needs to be replaced. The cable at the base of the antenna is frayed and exposed so I just ordered a new one. The Bimini top looked in bad shape however once I installed its windshield and two side panels it's in better shape than I thought. It looks like I'll get a season out of it then reassess it for next year.
