The biggest crowds I could ever remember surrounded Gloucester Harbor to watch an awesome fireworks display and dance to the music being played on Stacy Boulevard.
Since I had to go to my midnight shift job I had to devise a plan that could get me in and out quick. I parked behind the high school near the boat ramp, that part was easy. But leaving Emerson Ave. was not, bumper to bumper. I managed to clear that area and head up and over Beacon St., cross Washington St. by way of Pearl St. and I was on my way home. After a quick change East Main St. was jammed so it was up and around coming out on Brightside Ave. then to Route 128. The highway out of town was bumper to bumper, I couldn't believe this many came to Gloucester for the day. It was like leaving a Patriots game!
So in this post I'll skip the captions and you can add your own "BOOMS", "OHHHHS" and "Ahhhhas".
