Fireworks over Gloucester 2013! At the last minute I decided to try to capture Gloucester's traditional July 3rd Fireworks. Should I set up my tripod on the east side of the harbor or attempt to get closer along the Boulevard? That was my thought as I left the driveway. I decided to try to get close to the Boulevard and see how far the traffic would allow me to go. I breezed to the West End then parked in the Birdseye parking lot. Getting out of the truck I purposely left my tripod behind knowing it may get in the way of the huge crowd and concentrated on using the flash and trusting my shutter trigger finger timing.
Awaiting the fireworks.

Great pics, Jay. Looks like the Fisherman was enjoying the show!Happy Independence Day.
Thanks! This was the 1st time in many years I went to the Boulevard for the fireworks. I was surprised there was a concert playing there. Biggest crowd I ever saw there!
