It was around 10:30pm when I could see an orange glow of a fire out my window across the harbor. Soon I turned on my scanner and the call for a structure fire at 9 Perkins Street came in. It was a fast moving fire in a three story multi-family home, from what I hear everyone evacuated safely and again the Gloucester Fire Department did an outstanding job preventing the fire from spreading in this tight neighborhood.
