Lobster Trap Christmas Tree and Then Some!
The 2012 version of Gloucester's Lobster Trap Christmas Tree was officially lit on Saturday night. It didn't go without a hitch, only the top string of lights illuminated at the end of the count down! After one organizer climbed the tree to plug in the rest and after several count downs later did all the lights light. Decorated with hundreds of school children painted lobster buoys, the tree is a true Gloucester classic!
And during the week I couldn't resist capturing the Fishermen's Memorial and the Fishermen's Wife's Statue in a pink/blue/orange sky.
A Christmas Duck!
Hundreds of lobster buoys!
All lit up!

Wonderful photos, as usual, Jay. Those statues are so poignant...
