Last Summer the 110' Coast Guard Cutter "Grand Isle" departed Gloucester for what was suppose to be a eight week $1.6 million refit in Baltimore. As it turned out as much as 85% of the hull had deteriorated and had to be repaired. Seven months and $2.7 million later she was back in port.
