The other day when I ventured to the tower heights my mind was so into the climb and the views outside I neglected the rest of this historic structure. The auditorium is where the city council holds their public meetings.It once held high School basketball games when the Central Grammer Apartments across the street was a high school! I also included a few more shots from the top of the tower. The quality of these is limited due to the condition of the windows.

Oh, I love the ones of the WPA murals! Those are real Gloucester treasures.
Did you take any of the names walls in the stairwell?
The light in the stairwell is bad during the day. Actually too much foreground light coming through the windows. I'm going to try at night one of these days.
More great shots Jay! What a great old building. They just don't build them with such character and dignity anymore.
The views are amazing, though rather dizzying I imagine.
Wonderful header shot on your blog. I would imagine there will be a large turnout for the memorial service.
