Spring hung around way to long and Summer wasn't Summer for long. Now it looks likes Autumn is gonna skip into winter! With temps in the 30's and 40's and a biting wind the last few days feels like winter!

There were pretty impressive rollers today. With the new moon, the wind and the storm surge, the high tide was righ up to the foot of the Birdseye building on Pavilion Beach today.
The wind is a killer! My hands were numb and when I got home I noticed the pump hose in my fish pond came loose. I had to plunge my hand past my elbow in the water to fix it. About 3 hours later I got the feeling back!
Great shots of some incredible surf! Somewhat remanisant of Hurricane Bills visit. I think the waves look all the more dramatic along such a beautiful rocky coast.
What's flying through the air in the shot titled 'Foam'? Over on the right. Do you think it's seaweed?
Sharon I wish I could of recorded the sound. My house is about 1/4 mile away as the seagull flies and I could hear the ocean's roar from there,to be next to it was breathtaking. Yes that is seaweed,to be exact a hunk of kelp.
Thanks for the pictures Jay. I remember when the Beacon Marine flooded when we were young. NJ is flooding through the marshes, we don't have the wave action here like back home, just water creeping slowly but surely higher and higher. I miss the sights and sounds of the backshore.
