With a light rain falling, the other day I ventured out looking for signs of Fall. Though I'm not a "birder" I do keep my eye out for interesting fowl. Most aren't rare but catching them doing something interesting can be fun. I was heading over the bumpy road of Stone Pier in West Gloucester when close by I spotted a Great Egret doing it's thing....fishing.
I've been noticed!
Checking me out!
The Egret is wondering what I'm doing!
Moving ever so slow!
Making bubbles!
One foot up!
All fluffed up trying to look like "Big Bird"!
Posing!
The strike!
Got it!
Shake it up!
Boats at rest!
This marsh road goes under at flood tides!
Floating pine neddles!
The pond's edge!
Rain on the pond!
Tree carving!
