Sad day when it's time to haul the boat out for the season. One of these days I'm heading down to the Dun Fudgin boat ramp with a folding chair and watch the mayhem! You can always count on someone doing something stupid. Today when waiting for my turn to approach the float I watched as an impatient boater motored by a boat already queued up waiting for their trailer. Down the ramp comes his buddy with the truck as they bring the boat onto the trailer. Shortly the truck suddenly jerked in reverse causing the boat's prop to slam into the boat that they had cut in front of!

Busy Dun Fudgin boat ramp!
This black pick-up had lurched back causing the boat's prop to damage the boat behind it!
Checking for damage!
Just hauled out!
Stern view at the ramp!
Back at home and bottom power-wash done!

Its always a sad day when you have to take the boat out of the water. Its almost that same feeling when you have to go back to school after a long summer vacation
Sad indeed! I wanted to get another couple of weeks and go for a foliage ride. But I decided not to take a chance with the weather and Monday was perfect to haul out.
Have there been any attempts to save the copper paint factory?
I realize it is probably all contaminated, but it is IMO an attractive building.
Yes Matthew including a proposal to make it into a mansion complete with a James Bond like hide-a-way boat house! Recently it was bought by a non-profit group "Ocean Alliance". They want to make it into their research headquarters. Check my links section for more info.
