The annual International Dory Races are a fun event to photograph. At least they are until I get home to down load the images. I discovered most of the photos were either over exposed or out of focus! My 300mm Sigma lens is the culprit, something messed up the inner workings and wouldn't sync up with the camera settings. I love my camera but one drawback is the small display screen, it's difficult to see at that size the subtle differences. Last night I cleaned the lens "guts" and it appears I solved the problem.
In the meantime things are gearing up for the annual Saint Peter's Fiesta this coming week! Most of the decorations are in place as carnival rides go up. Also seine boat crews can be seen around the harbor practicing.
