I was waiting to go out when I checked the tide chart and at 11:55am a full moon 11'5" tide was expected. Normal high tide is around 9' but with a combination of a full moon and the storm off the coast causing a tide surge, many low lying areas were submerged!

Wow, wow, wow. Jay, these may be your best ever!!!
Thanks Kathleen but I wouldn't go overboard...at least in this weather!
Please don't go overboard Jay...in any weather! Ed
I was out driving around at noon and could not believe GHB! And, of course, I didn't have a camera. The water was up to the Stop & Shop parking lot. You are much braver than I am!!!
Great Stuff Jay.
Thanks for braving the tide to bring these to us. Love the Rocky Neck shots.
Jeesh Jay that is not good at all. I sure hope there wasn't to much damage!
It took me a second to spot the swans. That's weird! I imagine the birds were a bit confused too! Those poor pigeons too.
I deleted the above comment because it was me! I had added 3 more images but I decided to add 4.
Great shots; Jay The family and I went out for a ride yesterday and we couldn't believe our eyes. I haven't seen it that high in years.
Fantastic Jay!
I thought there were some new ones! "Cat Eyes" belongs to my next-door neighbor. Talked to Ms Cat-Eyes herself while out shoveling yesterday. She was sure waging a noble battle against the snow.
Thanks Frank & Joe! Kath...I think that's the 1st time I caught "Cat Eyes" with my camera! I just added 3 additional images.
I wonder if those guys in the trucks know its salt water they are driving through. I think they will find out in about a year when the truck rots out from under them.
Frank, they could have gone up and around to avoid it.....at least we don't have to worry about it.
nice post. thanks.
