I liked these photos because they bring out the individuality of each vessel. I never realized until now that I've never "seen" the day to day boats except in mass and as a whole piece of cloth. Thanks, for this is a much appreciated wakeup call. I'll be sure to take the time to look at each one in the future and honor their distinctiveness...even the ones who need a wee bit of sprucing up! :)
Yesterday I took a similar photo of the "mini Motif" (yours had more photogenic boats next to it!!)... and was wondering if you know what the REAL purpose/owner/name of the building is?
Love reading your musings about the area. (Friday I saw fishermen in Newburyport pulling out a huge (to me, anyway) tuna that they said they'd caught of Jeffries Ledge. Small world!
I believe the larger Motif is town owned and used by fishermen for storage as is the smaller one on Granite Pier.
