The only other time I have been to Cape Cod was to coach a high school football game. Off the bus onto the field then back on the bus. This time it was for training for certification to become a Dockside Monitor. The Dockside Monitor documents the offload of the fish at the dock to help assure the sector quota does not exceed catch limits per species. The training was thorough and interesting, I thought I knew my fish! I knew most but the subtle differences in several species of both Flounder and Skate was an eye opener. I stayed and studied in Falmouth while the instruction took place in Woods Hole. So after many exams, homework, studying and handling alot of dead fish I became certified. With all the study work load I didn't have much time for photography, the weather wasn't the best either.

Great shots Jay I hope the new job is working out for you. Best of luck Buddy
Congratulations!
What an apt name that is for the Ocean Pout, he is pouting. :)
So does this mean you're going back to work, Jay?
Jeeze, I haven't been to Woods Hole since back in the mid 80's, many a moons ago. I remember Cape Cod as being a beautiful place though. I was thinking about taking the ferry from Cape Ann (I think) to P-town this summer.
You still captured some nice photos. To bad the weather wasn't more cooperative though. Its spring though so that's what ya get.
Thanks Frank & Beth!
Yup Sharon it's back to work. But my schedule works around when the boats come in. The one thing I didn't like about Cape Cod was all the traffic lights! I'm not sure if there will be a ferry to P-town this year, it didn't run last year.
Congratulations on your certification!
