Being laid off is never easy,30+ years in QC/QA is a long time but these are the sign of the times and I'm another victim. It's happened to me once before back 22 years ago,on a Friday the 13th of all days. At each company I've worked for I've worn "many hats" and that's an education I will be always grateful for. Some say it's the "boot in the ass" I need to kick start a buisness in photography. My mind is gearing up on the possibilities. On the bright side.....I won't need my steel toe shoes...at least for now. My feet are on vacation!

You never like those shoes anyway Dun! Maybe they were trying to tell you something...........
Aw Jay, that's just awful. I'm sorry. It sounds like you are a fairly experienced guy who isn't afraid of trying something new.
This economy is so frustrating. How I wish there was some way to turn it around and quick!
Yes, it might be time to look into photography as a form of making a living. You have some wonderful images! My best to you.

I have been laid off too. My girlfriend is presently undergoing cancer treatment as well. These are not good times.
Here's to better days!
Hang in there.
Thanks Matt !
My wife is a leukemia survivor, all hope was lost when she pulled through 20 years ago! Prove that things can work out for the better! My prayers to both of you!

I wish you all the luck, and yes, you're photos are the best and most interesting ones I view on the web. That's part scenery but a bigger part photographer. You've got a good eye and know how to use them there cameras.
