On Thursday a brush fire threatened homes in the Poles Hill area of town. With winds at 35 mph firefighters battled the 3 alarm blaze. Through their outstanding efforts no homes were lost and no one hurt! In the meantime the schooner "Thomas E. Lannon" is back in the water all prettied up for the 2011 season.
