Born and raised in Gloucester,Ma fishing gets in your blood. Surrounded by the sea, kids here have a boat almost as much as kids elsewhere have bicycles! As I grew older my fishing ambitions gave way to what's around me. Although I still "drop a line" every so often, my attention wanders to the majesty of the natural light that make this place so special. Never is each day the same. The subjects may be the same but the light from the sea & sky will morph the subject into a form of art. Artists have been drawn to these shores for several hundred years, they followed the light painting and sketching these surroundings. What artists capture with paint on canvas, I attempt to capture with a click.....if I'm lucky!
I guess that's a sort of Fish'n!

Winter Begins With A Blast !
With the first snow of the season on the way I thought I'd begin with images from the day before the storm..... as the sky darkened. This morning I looked out to a snow covered landscape with a plan on capturing any snow scenes around the docks. So with that in mind I did just that. Once on the waterfront I needed to break away to take care of my job duties that came up. Later I scheduled to meet up with one of my colleagues and had about 45 minutes to kill so I headed over to Good Harbor Beach and the Back Shore just to see if there was any surf worth shooting. To my surprise the surf was up and the opposing winds were shearing off the top of the waves! So much for plans! So here it is without captions. I figure the images tell the story.
