The end of Fall has brought the winter temperatures and working on the dock can be a bit frosty. Today as I headed out the morning the temp was 19 degrees F with a bitter wind blowing in the harbor 10-15 mph. While my writing hand became numb with the cold I got just a tidbit of what the fishermen have to endure while out at sea.
Haddock heading up.
Clowning around!
A bucket full.
Fast sorting!
Outside Pigeon Cove/Whole Foods at the Jodrey State Fish Pier.
Lifting 100 lbs!
"Voyager" heads out.
"Challenger" and City Hall.
Cold harbor as the lobster boat "Jean Elizabeth" steams by.
"Jean Elizabeth" in B&W.
Paint Factory and the fishing vessel "Amanda Leigh".
