After a morning of heavy rain and winds the sun came out along with warm 70 degree temps. I went over to the Breakwater to catch the surf and with not a soul around it felt like I was the last man on earth. The sounds of the waves crashing down on the rocks was deafening. The first thing you hear is a low rumble of the smaller stones rolling around under the water's surface. Then with a mighty crash, the sound of a thunderstorm as the waves crash down!
"S.S. Mellon III" surrounded!
I'm being watched!
Dog Bar Breakwater!
Big wave approaching!
Big wave!
Backlash!
Wet Breakwater!
White water!
Rough seas!
Gulls scatter!
The gulls just can't find a dry spot to hang out!
"S.S. Mellon III" and a frenzy of hungry gulls!
Hammond Castle!
Gloucester from behind my house!
The day is done!

Love the pictures. I swear I could hear the waves crashing. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks! One of these days I'll get a video camera and capture the sounds.
Hello, Jay! beautiful photos! beautiful TREE! I love your DOg Bar photos are great. (That swan is terrifying! i'm sticking to the Homies!) xo c!
Thanks "bowsprite"! Ya...those swans can pack a mean punch! They are managable, just don't try to take away their Goldfish crackers!
I like the Swan shot too! Kinda of prehistoric looking though. LOL!
These Gull shots are awesome! I like the view of Boston in the background of the SS Melon. You sure do capture some great moments Jay.
