So I will start in the day. Yesterday while driving on the boulevard I was struck by the blue sky. I just happened to notice the Fisherman's statue standing at the helm all alone and thought.... Now that makes for good contrast. Click, done and that was it for picture tak'n for the day. Then late this afternoon my wife thought dinner at Farnhams in Essex would be a good idea. As I pulled up into the parking lot the late afternoon sun made the marsh just POP and everything around it. Around 8:30 this evening I grabbed the tripod and headed down to the waterfront to catch some of the early arrivals for this weekend Gloucester Schooner Festival.
* Note: "Dinner on the marsh" was taken through my tinted windshield. When downloaded raw there was a strong green look to it. I had to adjust the color levels to create the natural tones as I saw it outside my truck as much as possible.

Love the House on Essex Marsh picture! Thanks for sharing.
That house in Essex is popularly known as Motif #2 among local artists!
Love the night photos, Jay. I was down looking at the Peacemaker last night and it is gorgeous --- those arched, beveled windows are stunning.
We sure have had some blue, blue skies lately. Gloucester Blue...
Thanks! If Rockport has Motif #1 and Essex has Motif#2 I wonder where Gloucester's Paint Factory fits in?
Well, the Paint Factory is the Paint Factory --- not you-know-that-house-with-the-porch-on-the-marsh-on-the-way-in-to-Essex or that-picturesque-red-building-in-Rockport-Harbor-with-all-the-lobster-buoys-hanging-on-it.
Ya see?
