Why is Cape Ann so unique? Myself.... I believe it's two factors #1 it's people and #2 it's topography. Here I'll focus on the topography. To the south is that other cape....Cape Cod. A sandy hook jutting out into the Atlantic.But here on Cape Ann it's the rocky shore dotted with beaches of all shapes and sizes.In a way Cape Ann is a hybrid of Cape Cod and Maine.Throw in the tidal marshes and you can see we have a little of everything that's New England.The following photo's,Good Harbor Beach were taken from early fall into the winter.

I'll never understand why anyone from Boston would fight the South Shore traffic to go to Cape Cod.
Your pictures are so fantastic. I hope that people click on them to see them the way they are intended to be seen large and full of details that you don't get without it being enlarged.

My sister sent me these photos and I loved them, seeing these pictures made me so homesick for Cape Ann. I was born in Rockport but have not lived there for many years.
