The Japanese defense forces couldn't stop Godzilla.....I captured the beast!
Spied this over Route 128 on my way home from work. Dirty windshield and strong sun glare I had to darken the image and crop out the sun. That's the only edit to what's probably my worse quality image. I figured some would get a kick out of it so I posted the pic on facebook. A few shares later it's gone world wide! Who would of thunk it?

Why I created this......

Born and raised in Gloucester, Ma fishing gets in your blood. Surrounded by the sea, kids here have a boat almost as much as kids elsewhere have bicycles! As I grew older my fishing ambitions gave way to what's around me. Although I still "drop a line" every so often, my attention wanders to the majesty of the natural light that make this place so special. Never is each day the same. The subjects may be the same but the light from the sea & sky will morph the subject into a form of art. For that reason artists have been drawn to these shores for several hundred years, they followed the light painting and sketching these surroundings. What artists capture with paint on canvas, I attempt to capture with a click.....if I'm lucky!

I guess that's a sort of Fish'n!

BURIED!

"Nemo" has struck! While my wife was at her parents house I hunkered down to a night of house rattling noises from the ferocious winds. Not once did I loose power which was amazing. Back in 1969 we were hit with a 41" snowfall and this same neighborhood was out of power for almost two weeks while the National Guard had to dig Gloucester out! The dog hated it, I had to carry her out the door to do her thing! She squatted did her thing and made a bee line back to the door! I tried to get a snow depth reading but with all the drifting it's tough and the snow is still coming down! My best guess range is 28-32 inches of the white stuff. I did take a ride when "Nemo" was at our "front door" when the snow was just starting to fall as the winds picked up. Fishermen's Memorial Swirling snow at Good Harbor Beach. The house. Wind picks up. About 7:00 pm! 50 mph winds sustained....88 mph gust! Street view. The morning. Buried! Side yard. My truck buried! Boy I'm lucky, a wind blown path to my shed and snow blower! Back Yard. Huge Drift!

I KNEW that the winds were much higher than what the national weather service had said! Let me tell you, this house was a rockin', don't bother knockin! Our window were bowing in here in Ipswich.

I knew that the winds were blowing harder than the 40MPH reported by the National Weather Service! Out here in Ipswich, our windows were bowing in. The wind picked up and never stopped.

I just came in from snow blowing my driveway, walkway and sidewalk.....10hp snow blower worked to the max! It would tend to ride up on the snow so I had to pull back and gun it again over and over. My back got the worst of it!
