The Japanese defense forces couldn't stop Godzilla.....I captured the beast!
Spied this over Route 128 on my way home from work. Dirty windshield and strong sun glare I had to darken the image and crop out the sun. That's the only edit to what's probably my worse quality image. I figured some would get a kick out of it so I posted the pic on facebook. A few shares later it's gone world wide! Who would of thunk it?

Why I created this......

Born and raised in Gloucester, Ma fishing gets in your blood. Surrounded by the sea, kids here have a boat almost as much as kids elsewhere have bicycles! As I grew older my fishing ambitions gave way to what's around me. Although I still "drop a line" every so often, my attention wanders to the majesty of the natural light that make this place so special. Never is each day the same. The subjects may be the same but the light from the sea & sky will morph the subject into a form of art. For that reason artists have been drawn to these shores for several hundred years, they followed the light painting and sketching these surroundings. What artists capture with paint on canvas, I attempt to capture with a click.....if I'm lucky!

I guess that's a sort of Fish'n!

Close Encounter with 935' of Steel !

With Monday such a nice day I decided to take the dog to the beach. The light was magnificent with the white sands of Good Harbor Beach contrasting with the rich blue sky. Then on Tuesday at the last minute decided to see the cruise ship "MS Eurodam" on her last visit for the year. Normally she stays in port and departs around 7;00 pm so I had plenty of time to go out. About 3:00pm I arrive in the outer harbor and shut my engine down about 1500' beyond the ship. I could plainly hear Calypso music playing as I moved around my boat taking shots. That's when I noticed all the shuttle boats back in their davits. I thought that was a bit strange that no shuttle boats were going back and forth. Soon I notice the ship moving, leaving early as the Pilot Boat "Eastern Point" rounded from the backside of the ship. I was busy taking pictures and figured I had plenty of time to move in case she headed towards me. When she did I went to start the motor and nothing! I try again and nothing.....she's getting too close for comfort and my engine won't start! I tried to stay calm and think of my options. I could radio the ship or the Pilot Boat but a ship that size can't stop on a dime so maybe the Pilot Boat could assist me....in a hurry! Just then I figure it out, my kill switch clip popped loose while I was moving around taking shots of the beast!
