Harbor Cove is the heart of the fishing industry in Gloucester. Surrounded by fish processors and dealers the face of the cove has changed with the times. Once a location for sail makers and a spar yard. And when coal was king, coal carrying ships would unload where the Building Center is located. Today the Cape Pond Ice Company guards the entrance and restaurants and even a brewery occupy the cove. It's also the starting point for whale watch and sport fishing excursions. Throw in the home of the schooner "Thomas E. Lannon" and you got a mix use cove that's hard to match in any port from coast to coast!
And it's a photographers dream!
