The Japanese defense forces couldn't stop Godzilla.....I captured the beast!
Spied this over Route 128 on my way home from work. Dirty windshield and strong sun glare I had to darken the image and crop out the sun. That's the only edit to what's probably my worse quality image. I figured some would get a kick out of it so I posted the pic on facebook. A few shares later it's gone world wide! Who would of thunk it?

Why I created this......

Born and raised in Gloucester, Ma fishing gets in your blood. Surrounded by the sea, kids here have a boat almost as much as kids elsewhere have bicycles! As I grew older my fishing ambitions gave way to what's around me. Although I still "drop a line" every so often, my attention wanders to the majesty of the natural light that make this place so special. Never is each day the same. The subjects may be the same but the light from the sea & sky will morph the subject into a form of art. For that reason artists have been drawn to these shores for several hundred years, they followed the light painting and sketching these surroundings. What artists capture with paint on canvas, I attempt to capture with a click.....if I'm lucky!

I guess that's a sort of Fish'n!

The Stage Is Set !

The summer fun is almost upon us,Gloucester dispite the gloomy economy is ready to shine ! The real fun begins this Saturday morning at the State Fish Pier with the annual International Dory Races. The Downtown Gloucester Block Party starting scheduled for Saturday night the 20th has been cancelled due to the weather. Next week is the St. Peter's Fiesta where the altar is getting it's finishing touches. The seine boats have been polished and ready for the crews to start their practices.
Included in this series are some views from the docks and the rafters of Capt. Joe & Sons Lobster.
Below is a teaser for the slideshow I'll be showing at the next Block Party scheduled for 7/18.

Jay, I thoroughly enjoyed the video! Such great pictures of all seasons. The boats with snow and then without were beautiful. I also loved the one of the lady feeding the pigeons, and all the guys falling into the water. Super video and the music was excellent!

Thanks Sharon! You should make a point to bring the family down for the Fiesta! It starts on the 24th and runs through Sunday. Friday Sat. & Sunday are the water sports off the beach next to the Fiesta starting @ 4:30pm Seine boat races and the Greasy Pole event. Sunday night @ 10:00pm are the fireworks. A camera is a must!

GR8 Photography! However, as a competitive sailor (I followed your VORG link here), when it comes to fishing, I always root for the fish!
