Stripers are in the harbor and people are fishing every which way. From boats, docks and rocks they have converged upon the port to try their luck. Calms seas with a hazy overcast sky, I managed to get in just before a brief thunderstorm.. Among the sights in the harbor was Geno Mondello's new-to-him lobster boat "Western Edge".

That's a very handsome eider!
Gloucester is so scenic. Absolutely beautiful. What a great day to be out on the water, fishing, and getting a sunburn!
Great Eider shot! Wow!
I take it you didn't go to Rochester.
Sharon
That Eider caught me be surprise,I had just turned my boat around and there it was. Ya Sharon I never made it, my wife gave me beagle sitting duty! Her parents have a beagle too and they planned on going to bingo after the party. Too long to leave the dogs home alone.
It's a good thing you had the dogs to use as an excuse ; )
Personally, I try to avoid Rochester at all costs. ha haa! I grew up in the next town over, Barrington. Aka, Bore-ington.
We once went camping near Rochester @ Kings & Queens....it was a joke! Later we camped @ Pine Acres in Raymond. That was ok until they sold half their property to Wall Mart. Dusty roads and gas powered exhaust choking golf carts racing around was the result! That's when I sold the travel trailer and bought a bigger boat!
Aka, Rott-chester. Yeah, it's not very elite up there that's for sure but my dad goes there all the time to hand out with his friends.
From what I recall someone was murdered at that campground several years ago. Rochester also has a gang problem now. It sure didn't used to be that bad. Of course in general it's very safe.
Jay,
Thank you for the picture of my yellow Stamas Express running past the breakwater!
I really enjoy your web site and the great images that you post. Reviewing your summertime images makes our long NH winters a little easier to take.
Thanks again,
Kevin
Nice looking vessel Kevin! You see that....you never know who might spot you out there! Check your anchor,it didn't look secure.
