The Japanese defense forces couldn't stop Godzilla.....I captured the beast!
Spied this over Route 128 on my way home from work. Dirty windshield and strong sun glare I had to darken the image and crop out the sun. That's the only edit to what's probably my worse quality image. I figured some would get a kick out of it so I posted the pic on facebook. A few shares later it's gone world wide! Who would of thunk it?

Why I created this......

Born and raised in Gloucester, Ma fishing gets in your blood. Surrounded by the sea, kids here have a boat almost as much as kids elsewhere have bicycles! As I grew older my fishing ambitions gave way to what's around me. Although I still "drop a line" every so often, my attention wanders to the majesty of the natural light that make this place so special. Never is each day the same. The subjects may be the same but the light from the sea & sky will morph the subject into a form of art. For that reason artists have been drawn to these shores for several hundred years, they followed the light painting and sketching these surroundings. What artists capture with paint on canvas, I attempt to capture with a click.....if I'm lucky!

I guess that's a sort of Fish'n!

Fresh Fallen Snow!

Fresh fallen snow at sunset produces interesting scenes. Like most posts here I didn't plan it that way. While I took my dog out to do her thing, I noticed the light from the sky. Orange, blue and pink pastel colors above so I gathered my camera and headed off.

Snow, Sails and Marshland!

Another week with snow but at least we had a bit of everything with rain and warm(er) temps thrown in. This post I added a Gloucester welcome for the tall ship Picton Castle from July 2009.

29 Days Till Spring!

The meteorologists had it wrong! Most said we'd get hit with a blizzard and 12+ inches of snow. Well we did get snow and wind but the average snow fall in my yard was 5 inches. The timing was bad for me, I had to drive to work in the middle of the so called blizzard. Instead of taking the highway I choose to leave about an hour and a half early and take the shore route. It was messy and the drive averaged about 20 mph but I made it on time with time to spare. Crews along the North Shore did a great job and for the most part the roads were clear for my ride home. I decided to go home the same route and see what photo ops I could come upon. But I start below with a few shots from the week.

The days are longer and the snow is deeper!

The snow continues, it's becoming an expected weekly event this winter. There's no sense to complain, just take it in with stride then welcome Spring......if it arrives!
