Why I created this......

Born and raised in Gloucester, Ma fishing gets in your blood. Surrounded by the sea, kids here have a boat almost as much as kids elsewhere have bicycles! As I grew older my fishing ambitions gave way to what's around me. Although I still "drop a line" every so often, my attention wanders to the majesty of the natural light that make this place so special. Never is each day the same. The subjects may be the same but the light from the sea & sky will morph the subject into a form of art. For that reason artists have been drawn to these shores for several hundred years, they followed the light painting and sketching these surroundings. What artists capture with paint on canvas, I attempt to capture with a click.....if I'm lucky!

I guess that's a sort of Fish'n!

Almost Snowless Winter!

Not much snow this winter, only one plowable snowfall so far. (Watch, I just hexed the winter) But anyway they say 50 & 60 degree weather for the next 10 days!

Mid February Sunrise and The Old Boat Is Gone!

My 24 year old boat is history, the insurance company bought it after a tree smashed it. New boat will arrive this Spring after I get the bottom painted. In the meantime Good Harbor Beach is pretty in the winter, especially during sunrise.

Another Boat!

After a January nor'easter dropped a tree on my boat I found myself looking for a new one. It didn't take long and believe it or not it was my wife that found one online. "What about this"? she asked me. It was at J&W Marine in Salem where I bought my Sea Pro in 2001. I sold the Sea Pro in 2012 to help pay medical costs for my brother-in-law.
