The Japanese defense forces couldn't stop Godzilla.....I captured the beast!
Spied this over Route 128 on my way home from work. Dirty windshield and strong sun glare I had to darken the image and crop out the sun. That's the only edit to what's probably my worse quality image. I figured some would get a kick out of it so I posted the pic on facebook. A few shares later it's gone world wide! Who would of thunk it?

Why I created this......

Born and raised in Gloucester, Ma fishing gets in your blood. Surrounded by the sea, kids here have a boat almost as much as kids elsewhere have bicycles! As I grew older my fishing ambitions gave way to what's around me. Although I still "drop a line" every so often, my attention wanders to the majesty of the natural light that make this place so special. Never is each day the same. The subjects may be the same but the light from the sea & sky will morph the subject into a form of art. For that reason artists have been drawn to these shores for several hundred years, they followed the light painting and sketching these surroundings. What artists capture with paint on canvas, I attempt to capture with a click.....if I'm lucky!

I guess that's a sort of Fish'n!

Tropical In Nature !

The reminants of a tropical storm has hit our area with a Nor'easter. We've been spared the heavy winds.... at least for now as life goes on along the waterfront.

A Senseless Act of Vandalism !

I'm breaking away from what I normally post to a senseless act of vandalism I stumbled upon while walking my dog. Destroying a public bench is bad enough but destroying one dedicated to our fallen heroes of the Iraq War just tugs at your heart. Gloucester has always supported our troops above and beyond many cities and towns. And many Gloucester citizens have taken up the call to duty. This act is a slap in the face to all those who have fallen and to those who serve today as well as all veterans. I would like to think our youth is a cut above the rest, many are but for that small minority who think vandalism is a fun thing to do. It is unfortunate that when who ever did this matures, they will have to live with what they did, and that it goes well beyond a few broken boards..... to broken hearts!

A Trip To Fenway Park !

"Ova da bridge and off to Boston and Fenway Park.
Normally when I go to Fenway it's a 35-40 minute ride to "My special free parking spot" but not this time. A late unexpected downtown errand ruined my timing! Heading from town to Washington Street was a sign of things to come. Twenty minutes in bumper to bumper traffic just to get to the rotary! Getting to the Tobin bridge was a breeze but that's where the open roads ended.Getting to and being on Storrow drive was a nightmare. By the time I got to Kenmore Square I knew my parking spot would be gone. Spots 2,3 and 4 where gone also. As I traveled on Commonwealth Ave. I realized many of the parking spaces where gone in favor of a new bicycle lane! I reverse direction and nothing! I finally gave in and parked at a Boston University parking garage for $20.00. A pretty good location, just a ten minute walk to Fenway Park. We just settled in at our seats as the Red Sox took the field. Usually getting home is even easier but not this time. Late night construction hung me up on Commonwealth Ave. for at least an hour! Thank goodness the Red Sox won!

Walking to Fenway Park.
