Why I created this......

Born and raised in Gloucester, Ma fishing gets in your blood. Surrounded by the sea, kids here have a boat almost as much as kids elsewhere have bicycles! As I grew older my fishing ambitions gave way to what's around me. Although I still "drop a line" every so often, my attention wanders to the majesty of the natural light that make this place so special. Never is each day the same. The subjects may be the same but the light from the sea & sky will morph the subject into a form of art. For that reason artists have been drawn to these shores for several hundred years, they followed the light painting and sketching these surroundings. What artists capture with paint on canvas, I attempt to capture with a click.....if I'm lucky!

I guess that's a sort of Fish'n!

From August to November !

I was stymied! With drizzle and fog wrapping the cape, my photo ambitions just wasn't there. After taking a few photos of the Jones Creek area I headed home and viewed photos that I hadn't posted before. Some of these may look familiar but they are actually different. Before I knew it I had gone back to August.

Air Traffic Control ?

When herring season hits Gloucester the gulls go bonkers. Herring is the food of choice for gulls, they can catch them in the wild or let the fishermen do the catching while they do the scavaging! What amazes me during these feeding frenzies.....no mid air collisions!

More Clouds and a Waterspout?

Going over the photos I took recently, one caught my eye. While traveling along the Back Shore I snapped a photo that from a distance looked like a waterspout. I'm sure it's just a cloud formation that looks like a waterspout but zooming it in on the computer it sure looks like one!

Clouds !

With cloud cover heading in the day before and rain the following morning, the skies boiled with menacing looking clouds during the day on friday.
