A Blustery Day !

The temp. says 26 degrees but with the wind whipping it felt like 10 degrees! I tried a few shots with my broken 200mm zoom lens and it was hit or miss. I did stumble on a sunk barge or floating dock in the outer harbor.Also the research vessel "Mysis",Northeastern University is trying to sell her. Word has it the hull plates are thinned out,so much so that it would take a heap of cash to fix!

Didn't make The Cut !

For those of you that went to the first ever "Gloucester Guerilla Art Project" @ the Cape Ann Community Cinema and for those who didn't see it,I'm posting photos that didn't make the cut. These are the "lost" photos that didn't make the cut in my "Glory of Gloucester". Kathleen Valentine did a masterful job in assembling the slide show. And as all great film makers of the world have to make cuts,so didn't Kathleen.

Gulls of Gloucester !

I'm no bird expert but if there's one bird that should be "The Official Bird of Gloucester" the seagull should be it! Many different species of gulls call Gloucester home. They eat just about anything,fishermen often call them "flying rats"! One thing I do know about them...they can drink fresh or salt water! And they are skilled of dropping their ahhhh.... "Butt Bombs" on target!

Windy November Day !

The winds were ripping and you can bet there are wind & kite surfers to be found. Sure enough a ride to Niles Beach and there they were. I also made a trip to harbor side to see what's up. Oh....It's a "balmy" 50 degrees F !
