Rising From The Ashes !

December 14 2007 an eight alarm fire hit the center of Gloucester. The fire started in the 28 unit Lorraine apartment building and then consumed the Temple Ahavat Achim next door.
One resident of the apartment building, Robert Taylor died in the fire. The aftermath of the fire created an outpouring of help from the community for the displaced residents in the form of clothing, furnature and a place to stay. As for the temple's congregation, local churches opened their hearts and buildings and money raised help them rebuild. Now the rebuilding effort is in full swing. Side by side they rise from the ashes created on that cold December night.
