All Wrapped Up !

Well.... she's out,it turned out to be a good day to "haul hull". My nephew Seth gave a hand and it took us maybe 3 minutes from when I landed her on the trailer to when I pulled away from the ramp. Timing is key,the tide was going down and if I arrived at the ramp 30 or so minutes later there wouldn't be enough water to tie up to the ramp floats. Also you need to powerwash the bottom while it's wet, otherwise that gunk will get concrete hard if allowed to dry. A fifteen minute ride home and it was still moist enough to powerwash off.

  1. Timing of the tides and battle of the barnacles keep you on your toes in those parts. Tides only change 2-3 feet down here.

  2. You got that right Robert! The tides avg. between 9'-10' here, full moon 11' or more.Get a nor'easter and sometimes a 15' tide that won't go out! While powerwashing the bottom I found one barnacle! I guess a piece of antifouling paint flaked off.
