More Work, Less Play and Sewer Discs!

Back on March 6th 3.4 million "sewer discs" were accidentally released into the Merrimack River from the town of Hooksett, NH sewer treatment plant. Ever since these discs that are used to collect bacteria have been washing up along our shores. Experts say the discs pose no harm to humans but to be safe the use of gloves should be the rule when handling them. They even made their way into the harbor and continue to do so.

Meanwhile the rest of this post is from recent waterfront activity.

The Hooksett sewer district has hired ENPRO Services to be their point of contact in Massachusetts.
Please report discs to ENPRO’s 24-hour toll-free line, 800-966-1102. Callers should mention that they are calling about the Hooksett event.
