I have to laugh. When the weather is like this, I look at my camera and think, "Jay's out there taking pictures, no excuses..." Then I winp out. This weeks fog is tough because it is too thick to shoot in. We couldn't see what we were pointing the camera at!
Fog changes everything, the background(if any) diminishes and softens the colors. It's hit or miss for planned subjects and more often than not it's what catches the eye at that moment. I had just left the vet when I drove by the baseball field. Early spring always puts a damper on baseball practice and when I saw the gulls on the field and the limited visability down the right field line it said to me.... shoot! Sometimes Steve you just got to get out with wide eyes....and radar!
Fog is certainly a big part of what Gloucester is. We all love to have sunshine but the fog also shows that Gloucester can be beautiful in all types of weather.
Beautiful pictures and I love the fog! It gives the waterfront a 'working class' type of look.
