Downtown Cape Ann !

Today I visited Main Street of all four Cape Ann communities. For Rockport I included Beasrskin Neck since it is a major shopping district for the town. Small shops and cottages fill the nooks and crannies situated along it's harbor. The Main street of Essex is best know as "The Essex Causeway". The causeway is lined with antiqe shops,restaurants and boat yards. And in Manchester By The Sea it's Main street comprises of shops and restaurants. Gloucester's Main street is going through change. Gone are the seven major department stores that dominated the street until the late 70's and is now mostly specialty stores,restaurants and night time entertainment.
