All Dressed Up and Nowhere to Go!

All these photos were taken this weekend, Memorial Day weekend. During this pandemic Americans pay tribute to our fallen heroes in their own individual way. Social distancing has cancelled parades and large gatherings. But we should reflect on what sacrifices were made to achieve our independence. Good example was WWII where every American sacrificed home and abroad led by a president who removed politics in the effort for world peace. We should all do our part and adhere to all social distancing guidelines and we too can be remembered for what we all did together for a better world!

Contrast in a Storm!

At least I'm getting yard work done! I refuse to become bored despite working in an empty building during the overnight shift. One way to do that is to focus on the beauty around us, especially where you never expect it.

A Positive Result of Covid-19!

I've noticed how clear the air and sea is, I guess a harsh way to cleanse the earth. In the meantime I managed another home project, I replaced my shed ramp. It was getting spongy as the wood was rotting. My nephew next door is in the process of expanding his deck. I re-purposed his discarded mahogany planks to build my new ramp. It was a tricky project because the land slopes in two directions and need access to drive my lawn tractor from the side of the ramp.

Old rotting ramp.
 Fitting the new ramp.
