It's Winter So Let's Go Surf'n!

With the wind kicking up I figured there would a pretty good surf going on. First a stop over to Bass Rocks and the surf was OK, nothing great but being high tide I did come away with a few good shots. Next it was over to Good Harbor Beach where a few hearty paddle surfers took to the waves.

Bass Rocks....please note that I use a telephoto lens and the waves appear closer than they are. Never tempt Mother Nature!

Who Wants Snow?

I know I don't and so far so good. It's pretty to look at but I don't mind keeping the snow blower and shovels in the shed. Here are images from January 2009.

What Is That?

I headed over to Rocky Neck to set some sunset shots when looking towards town an interesting light caught my eye.I couldn't be the sun because it just set and I was looking north west.It was below the cloud cover and no it wasn't something on the lens because other shots came out fine. Perhaps one of those Japanese hot air candle balloons? What ever it was it moved left to right slowly then dropped rapidly.
