Some More Summer Shots!

Worst head cold I ever had! I finally was able to sleep last night so I guess the worse is over. No body aches which tells me it wasn't the flu but boy did it zap me. Still I can't taste anything and I'm getting tired of soup but boy am I hungry! The best thing to do is to keep busy some way and that's what I'm doing. I scoured my photo data base to find more images to post. Some are re-touched while others I haven't posted before.

It Got Me !

I can't remember when the last time I've been hit with a cold this bad but it's here now! It started off with a sore throat late saturday afternoon. I've had sore throats before but that was in my football coaching days. This time I've been silenced! And then when sunday arrives so does the head congestion with the stuffy nose and head aches. Now I got the blurry vision and trying to type this is an adventure! Last night I kidded my wife by telling her I wasn't going in to work tommorrow. When I woke up this morning, that line must of stuck in my mind....I almost called in sick! Here I am still unemployed looking for work about to call in sick! I must be sick!
Back to this post. These images are ones I never posted from various times and themes. Some I just plain missed while others at the time I didn't think I could correctly align. And a few that just didn't fit a particular theme.

Makeover....Gloucester Style!

Every time I see the schooner "Roseway" it brings back memories when I was a kid. During the 60's I'd see her come in for her yearly haul out. Back then she was a Boston pilot boat, she had a large pilot house,no topmasts and in big block letters on the sides of her hull "PILOT". Even then I was amazed such an old vessel was still working, especially in that role. Now she's back at the Rocky Neck Marine Railways...the oldest continuous working marine railway in the country!
