The Japanese defense forces couldn't stop Godzilla.....I captured the beast!
Spied this over Route 128 on my way home from work. Dirty windshield and strong sun glare I had to darken the image and crop out the sun. That's the only edit to what's probably my worse quality image. I figured some would get a kick out of it so I posted the pic on facebook. A few shares later it's gone world wide! Who would of thunk it?

Why I created this......

Born and raised in Gloucester, Ma fishing gets in your blood. Surrounded by the sea, kids here have a boat almost as much as kids elsewhere have bicycles! As I grew older my fishing ambitions gave way to what's around me. Although I still "drop a line" every so often, my attention wanders to the majesty of the natural light that make this place so special. Never is each day the same. The subjects may be the same but the light from the sea & sky will morph the subject into a form of art. For that reason artists have been drawn to these shores for several hundred years, they followed the light painting and sketching these surroundings. What artists capture with paint on canvas, I attempt to capture with a click.....if I'm lucky!

I guess that's a sort of Fish'n!

Santa's 2013 Run!

I called the North Pole to try to get information on Santa's flight path. They provided me with the times to look for Santa and not only that but also had Santa call me to set up a special fly by photo shoot! About 5 pm I captured Santa flying along the coast as he headed to the southern hemisphere to deliver presents. Later tonight I got the call on when Santa would be over Gloucester. He said he would circle around until all the youngsters were fast asleep and that would be a good time to take his picture.

Wild Nature!

It was an interesting week leading up to the Winter Solstice. Last Monday afternoon my dog starting barking and going nits! I looked out the window and saw what had her upset......a coyote! It was chomping on some small animal at an intersection where children are picked up and dropped off for the nearby school. I grabbed my camera and heading outside and was surprised how close I got. After taking a few shots I headed back into the house to down load the pictures. About 5 minutes later I hear 7-8 gunshots ring out. The Gloucester Police along with the Massachusetts Environmental Police arrived and chased the coyote through two yards finally dispatching the animal across the street from the elementary school. In the meantime we had snow and a quick meltdown making an interesting landscape.

Looking Back and the Present!

After discovering what I thought were lost files I've been busy going through them. This harbor is so rich in history and even though the fishing industry is now going through hard times, it's still a jewel to photograph.
