Lets not forget all the injured and those who lost their lives at the Boston Marathon bombings because of this senseless act! Whatever their sick horrific intent was, their killing and chaos has made the USA even stronger! And I hope the world notices!
Why I created this......
Born and raised in Gloucester,Ma fishing gets in your blood. Surrounded by the sea, kids here have a boat almost as much as kids elsewhere have bicycles! As I grew older my fishing ambitions gave way to what's around me. Although I still "drop a line" every so often, my attention wanders to the majesty of the natural light that make this place so special. Never is each day the same. The subjects may be the same but the light from the sea & sky will morph the subject into a form of art. Artists have been drawn to these shores for several hundred years, they followed the light painting and sketching these surroundings. What artists capture with paint on canvas, I attempt to capture with a click.....if I'm lucky!
I guess that's a sort of Fish'n!

I just got done snowthrowing and shoveling 10" of snow on this New Years eve. I'm still cold to the bone and I figured a little past summer therapy would help.
Fishermen change gear on the trawler "Endeavor" while a woman feeds the birds. And a shot of the covered pleasure boats at Cape Ann Marina. A lobster boat heads in steaming past the Paint Factory. Also the tiniest push boat I've ever seen !
Christmas "08" has come and gone and the days are getting longer. Still thoughts of 80 degree days are a long way away. These are the days the beaches are taken over by gulls and occasional dog walkers and a wayward photographer! Here's a few shots from Wingaersheek Beach,Little River and from the Fish Pier,
The first big snow of the year and we may get more after the storm passes. "Ocean effect" snow once covered Cape Ann with 42" in 1969 ! Let's hope that doesn't happen!
